About Yosemite National Park Yosemite National Park is more than just a place to visit. It is beautiful and yet full of history. Its waterfalls that are seen from every corner and its beautiful view from the top of the Gracier Point will take your breath away. One of the main things that captured my attention is its history. The areas first residents were Native Americans and various tribes lived in the area over the years. Now doesn't the picture and the brief history make you want to visit the place and be there NOW?!! |

Packing To Yosemite National Park This is actually the tricky part. For those of you that are planning to go to Yosemite Park but have never actually been there before read this carefully. As a victim myself I learned this the hard way :) I strongly urge you to take food with you. Food may not be as cheap as you'd think and of course it will take you a while to get to one supermarket and buy everything thats there. They do have a fast food restaurant but many campers like to bring their own food; which is the smart move. Be aware of leaving your food inside your car because Yosemite Park afterall is a forest and there are plenty of wild animals on the loose. Most importantly to make sure to take your food with you whereever you're going to stay overnight. If you decide to leave your food inside your truck or any car, you may not see your car in great condition the following day. Bears are known to destroy various cars in order to eat food thats left inside the car. If you forget this important fact you may remember it once you see the sign all over the camping areas. :) --Water is essential. You will get thirsty and it is safe to have plenty of water handy. --It is important to know that there are plenty of mosquitos. Whatever you decide to buy make sure you're saving yourself from bites and scratches. I was glad to have a long sleeved shirt with me. |

Hotels If you want to stay the night inside a hotel room then you better make reservations before leaving your comfortable house. If you procrastinate and leave it untill you get there then you're out of luck. Hotels book quickly and if you're lucky you'll get a better place to stay. They also run high in prices. My advice: find the yellow pages, whether online or the book itself and go through pages whether online or the book itself, and get busy with making the calls. You will see how fast and easy it is to make reservations and end up at a comfortable place with a great view. If you'd rather camp then you know what to do. I would not think a camper will go there without a PLAN! :) Good Luck. |
