I don't know if I can say Atlantic City NJ is the backyard of NYC or not since its only a 2 hour 15 minute drive & you will be there. But I am sure its a closeby shore town for us New Yorkers to go & feel the sea breezes from the Atlantic Ocean !
Its been years that I did not go to Atlantic City because I was thinking it is just all about gambling and buffets & I am not a gambler. However, this visit proves to me that the city was trying to convert itself from a pure casino town to a weekend getaway resort town. Besides the entertainment shows like concerts and broadway shows, now a couple of casinos built a lot more recreational facilities that are suitable for family.
Spas & nice restaurants also make it a very good getaway weekend choice for a girls weekend getaway ! |
