"World's greatest open air museum"- Karnak Temple

At the Sound & Light show & the workers behind
I went to the Karnak Sound & Light Show at night & I also visited the temple during the day.
To me, I think visit this place in the day is a much better deal. The Sound & Light show was not as good as the one in Cairo. The last segment of the show which visitors sat down & listened to the long recordings of egyptian ancient history was boring with only a few light spots in the total darkness. A few people fell asleep as I saw or heard.
If you visit during the day, you will able to see more of the great structures. Also, you will see several avenues of human and ram-headed sphinxes more clearly over there, and it will give you more satisfaction.
Vendors by the shore of River Nile in Luxor

Galabia vendors

Galabia vendors are every where because there are Galabia costume parties everywhere in Egypt ! Wow, that is some brilliant business idea to market Galabias !!! Here is a picture I took from one of the docks along the Nile in Luxor with a whole block of vendors waiting for tourists.
My trophy for Galabia

My Galabia dress

After challenging a local vendor for 15 minutes with my newly learned haggling skills (i am still a junior apprentice), I bought this Galabia dress & head band for 25 EL. Vendor asked me for a pen as a gift but when I asked what gift he would give me in return as my friend, he said "GOODBYE & peace be with you" many many times......
I guess my haggling skill was getting better, this Galabia dress started with an asking price of 150 EL without the head band ......Wow, I must be good.
The FORCE is strong with me ........

25l£E is reasonable for a jellabiya, so you can consider yourself a good haggler.
