|  | Fueling the economy Cattle are sacred in India. It is against the law to kill a cow. Life in India is greatly dependent on these animals. Cows provide high quality nutients through milk. Bullocks provide work and transport. All cattle provide manure, which is the primary fuel and fertilizer used by India's rural people. |
