Clavering is a small village in the north west corner of Essex, about 12 miles by car from Stansted airport.

We visited Clavering one Friday evening in September to visit The Cricketers for a pub meal with our VT friends nhcram and chrishc. Didn't see much of the village because it was dark ! The pub was great though, so have a look at my tip, and bear it in mind if you are staying near the airport before an early morning flight.

    Food looks fabulous, though not sure that salad would be big enough for me ; )
