The Early Years

Being born in New York of a Hungarian mother, and Romaian father, I always felt a bit different from my America friends. Upon walking into my house, the smells of chiken paprikas or mamaliga (polenta) could be felt immediately. My father, an artist, cook, commedian, the most wonderful man I've ever known, always home to prepare me meals, take me to wherever I need to go, or to just hang out or watch tv.
My mom, working at home as well, there to guide me and instill in me a confidence that has led me to be the person I am today. Fearless.
Besides instilling in me a sense of confidence, my parents instilled in me a love of travel. My first cross-Atlantic trip took place when I was 1 year old. I can't remember much, but from the pictures it seems as though I had a pretty exciting time. We went to Hungary to visit family. All before the age of 10 I visited Hungary 5X, Israel2X, Vienna, Switzerland, and various places around the US.
