"Not my kind of place" a Benidorm Travel Page by Simon1287

I have never actually stayed here and wouldn't really want to.
As a family, we always stayed up the road in the Small Town of Moraira (beautiful place) and we came down my train to Benidorm on the odd occasion to see if anything had changed.
Only ever visited twice, the last time been February 2004.
I am not going to waste much more of my time writing about Benidorm, but the following paragraph should sum it up.
The place is a tourist trap, designed primarily for the cheap package holiday market.
The beach is nice but thats about it.
The last time I was here, the place was full of high-rise apartments, pubs that only the lager lout Brits would love, dirty streets, tacky touristic attractions and to make matters worse, I was the victim of a Currency Conversion scam!
It's OK for a week with the kids when they are younger and just want to play around on a beach but apart from that, I wouldn't recommend it to a seasoned traveller.
