Brisbane has many markets you can browse through.
I went to the Eagle Street/Pier Markets on the Sunday morning. These are the cities original markets and there are approx 200 stalls. They start at 8.30am and through to 4.00pm.
An array of interesting things are available, from food, clothes, art , wood work, jewelry and many other bits and pieces to spend your money on.

I also browsed through the Southbank Markets.

Markets are held at King George Square every Sunday

Valley Markets, Brunswick St and China Malls on a Saturday ans Sunday 8am to 4.00pm

Jan Powers Farmer Markets, Brisbane Powerhouse New Farm, 2nd and 4th Saturdays 7am to 11am

There are more than 40 urban markets held regularly.

Address: On the River between Eagle Pier to Riverside area
Directions: Eagle Pier and Riverside.
If you are coming from Southbank area you can catch the Ferry or the CityCat to Riverside.

From the city area, walk along Queen Street towards creek street, you will find them very easily. Follow the crowd!!

Anzac Square is a lovely small area with monuments in memory of the men and woman that fought in the wars.

The Shrine of remembrance is at the back of the grassed Square.

You can see the dome of the Central Station at the back of the Shrine.

Address: Adelaide Street.
Directions: On Adelaide St. between Edward St and Creek St.

You can come off the Boardwalk into the Botanical gardens and spend time looking around the ponds and Gardens.
You can hire a bike at the front gate.
If you would like to sit and have a meal or just a coffee or coke there is the Gardens Kiosk/Cafe'.
You could also take a picnic and sit on the grass and enjoy watching the passing parade of visitors.

There are a number of statues throughout the gardens.

This is a popular place for weddings.

Directions: Either come of Alice Street or follow the boardwalk from Eagle Pier and you will pass the gardens.

All what the Riverside Adventure Centre offer are fun things to do.

Rock Climbing
Kayaking
Mountain biking
Roller Blading

They have lessons for beginners and hire equipment for the ones that know how it's done.

The prices are varied, start from $15 to $29
You can get a day pass for $88 which includes activities and equipment all day hire.

Directions: This is on the South Bank along the river.
You can get there by road, river ferry. Catch the Ferry to Thorton Street Terminal then follow the signs. 380Metre walk.

By road you go via the River Terrace Kangaroo Point.There is free carparking.
