My Favourite Hotel in Amsterdam and other Amsterdam, Netherlands Hotel/Accommodation Reviews

This would be the nicest place to stay in Amsterdam. Easy to get to from Central Station (think you need to take the No5 tram to the Leidesplein,and its a short walk from the stop).
The hotel is immaculate, i think that the hotel has just undergone some rennovation. The rooms vary in size, one year we had a massive room, the next a small room but they all amenities - hair dryer, bathrooms, mini bar etc. The room service is 24 hours for late night munchies - the tomato soup is to die for!!!
If you do plan to go at New Year, you can hear fireworks going off into the early hours of the morning, and it isn't too far to stagger back! Its not far from the Hard Rock Cafe and other resturants and bars.
The staff on reception are very helpful too!

Unique Qualities: My room didn't have the best view, but was only really there for sleeping!
The hotel has a beauty salon/spa and the like - however was shut over New Year when we were there!

We stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago...mainly as there was a large group of us going to Amsterdam and this hotel was the most suitable to our needs. Our room was quite small but had a massive double bed (so probably why the room seemed so small) and was well looked after. The room has all amenities you would expect to find too, such as hair dryer, press, tea and coffee facilites etc.
The hotel has a pizza hut restuarant (i personally didn't like the pizza in there) and another resturant, it also has a bar with a pool table too.
The hotel is in great location too; within walking distance to many bars and restuarants, a casino and Hard Rock Cafe. There is also a tram stop nearby to take you further afield.
The hotel is within walking distance from the Central Station, but if you have bags from travelling it is probably better catching the tram!

Unique Qualities: Overall the hotel is lovely and the location is great.
