"When I am in Greece I feel Home" Greece by Saladinos

while visiting my friends in Stockholm, i was planning to travel somewhere and i made it open for any suggestions but of course based on a cheap deal.

Through my firnd who works in the tourism field, he found 2 options. The 1st option was to malaga in spain and the 2nd option was mykonos salonika greece.

I have heard about mykonos from other friends who were planning to go there but never made it so i decided to take this chance and move it.

I have been to greece when i was 11 with my parents and it was a meditranean cruise that goes from Alexandria of Egypt, limasol of cyprus and pyreaus of greece. I didnt have the chance then to move around or do anything cause i had to be the good polite kid.
We visited rhodes as well at that time.

So i decided to go visit that place that my memory didnt carry its details.
We made the deal for flights only from Stockholm to mykonos by Apollo. So we knew it might be difficult to find rooms since it was the season but me and my friend decided to take the risk.

From the airport it was a deal through the tourist information desck to go to that hotel for 45 euros me and my friend. We accepted and went there . we were welcome by that great lady who use to live in Egypt and had family and friends there, so it was relaxing that she will take good care.

We went to where the action happens in the day and it was paradise beach as we were told. We took the crowded bus to the beach, we were surprised to find some Egyptian guys working there and they helped us a lot and made us see the place.
They offered us a bugaloo for 50 euros both of us including breakfast. There were others with sleeping bags and tents but we have got nothing on us to let us do the same.

We thought that since we go from our motel every morning and for 40 minutes back and another 40 minutes to go, why not just move to paradise beach and live in the middle of the action. We did and were happy. Mykonos was full of italians and i got to know that it is close to them and cheaper than in italy itself.

We made some friends there from France, sweden and italy.
I met my dream girl there (claudia) and she is from napoli but she left the next morning back to italy without us exchanging our contacts but i am still feeling i will meet her again.

The beach was great and there was also a nice warm swimming pool that people would dance around starting at 5pm till 10 pm.

Mykonos is a 24 hours action place. I couldnt cope with this more than 2 days and had to relax and organize myself.

Everyone there is happy and friendly. and i would still go back again to Mykonos. After the 1 week and when it was time to get back we tried to postpone our departure but it meant that we will loose our back tickets so we just took the taxi to the airport and back to stockholm.

• Pros:friendly people from all over, nice beach, nice parties, 24 hours awake
• Cons:cant recall any but the bus from paradise beach to mykonos city was bad and always late and crowded
• In a nutshell:Mykonos is a 24 hours action place
