Many years ago in the early 60s I was based in Hong Kong with the Army and was there for over two years. I had vowed to return but was unable to do so until 2002. What a change - I didnt recognise anywhere to start with. There were very few high rise buildings, most around the old airport approach at Kai Tak. Coming in to land there was hair raising. Still I spent 3 days there but would not return again. |
