One of the more noticeable hotel/casinos on the Strip the Luxor obviously takes its theme from Egypt and the hotel itself it shaped like one of the pyramids. The over the top Egyptian theme woks well and makes for a fun expirience. We also ate at the Luxor for lunch and had some pretty good sandwiches etc. at their 24 hour restaurant. ***GOOD TIP*** There is a free monorail that runs between Mandalay Bay, The Luxor and The Excalibur.

Mandalay Bay: Mandalay Bay Hotel

Mandalay Bay was the first Hotel/Casino we visited in Las Vegas and I have to say I was pretty impressed. Although we visited in March the pool was not yet up and running but it looked really nice. The hotel also boasts an Aquarium with a Shark Expirience but this does cost about 15-17 dollars to vist.

Time was just too short so I never made it to the New York/New York Hotel/Casino. I was able to take some photos of it while walking down the strip.

I made a trip to Paris in the evening and was pretty impressed with their entrance and casino layout. The interior of the hotel was opulent much like Bellagio or the Venetian. We stopped for coffee in their Parisian style walk.

Stratosphere: Stratosphere Hotel

This is the view outside our hotel but unfortunately I was unable to visit the Stratosphere or its observation deck. I could see and was told there is two themed rides, both a roller coaster and a ride that fires you up to the top of the tower on the observation deck.

I must have missed the hourly fountain show at least a half dozen times while I was in Las Vegas but finally got it when exiting the Paris Hotel around 11PM the night before departing for home. The fountains set to music was pretty cool and a good crowd gathers at all hours to see them. ***INTERESTING FACT*** Many people remember the Bellagio Fountains as the place George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and the rest of the Ocean's 11 crew met up in Vegas after their Heist in the Ocean's 11 remake.
