For my money there is no more beautiful or better a town to vacation in all of Cape Cod than the town of Falmouth. Located on Vineyard Sound directly across the water from Martha's Vineyard Falmouth boasts a close proximity to Martha Vineyard (30 minute ferry ride), outstanding and less crowded beaches, a 5 minute ride to Woods Hole which has outstanding seafood restaurants as well as great shopping.

I have twice taken vacation to Cape Cod, once in September another in August and immensenly enjoyed both visits to the town.

My tips deal with some of the great beaches I discussed previously, the close and inexpensive availability to Ferry service to both islands, some of my favorite restaurants in the area as well as some other sights within 1 hours drive from Falmouth once might consider for a great Cape Cod vacation.
