I visited Halifax on a dark cold weekend September 17-19 2004, for my cousin Craig's wedding. I think the weather added a lot of great atmosphere to the city! It would probably be a completely different experience if it were sunny.

The Citadel Gotta give these blokes some credit, standin' around on a cold day with the wind blowing up their kilts and everything! Must've been why they looked so serious. Just kiddin', they were actually friendly . Me, Keri, Jon, and Zoe had a blast touring the Citadel despite the cold morning. Exploring as Fast as Possible We booked around as much as we could over the weekend, trying to see everything. It's impossible, but we did get in more than a lot. Checked out downtown, the waterfront, the Historic Properties, Pier 21, Alexander Keith's Brewery, and St Paul's Cemetery. My legs were definitely sore the Monday morning after we got back.
