I travelled to Marbella (pronounced "mar-bay-ah") for the 2006 VT Euromeet . This town was to be my grand introduction to fabled country of Spain and I'll have 9 days of wandering this long sunny coast.
My backpack is lost, misplaced somewhere in Madrid by the airline. I checked into the Princesa Playa Hotel and my bleary 27-hours-of-travel-eyes focused on the view from the room's balcony. Stunned. White town and rolling hills in one direction, beach and ocean in the other. "Well that just looks like a damn postcard, don't it?" Beautiful! I need alcohol more than I ever have in my life; I need to have a cold beer and cigarette on this patio and just chill out for a minute! Desperately I begin rifling through the cupboards, fridge, drawers. "C'mon, please?! Please!!" Nothing. Too tired to go out on a goose-chase for ale.
[Body collapses backward onto bed. "Zzzzzz...."]
