Restaurant Name: Rio's Carnival World Buffet
Rio's buffet is the best buffet I've ever been to... by far. There's a wide choice of foods (I like the Japanese food) to fit just about any desire. The thing about the Rio is that the quality of the food is far above the typical "buffet" food. It's really good. The first time I went there, it reminded me of going to a food court at the mall, only it was all you can eat.
Favorite Dish: I enjoy the Japanese grill where they grill your choice of chicken, steak and/or shrimp with your selection of vegetables and other yummy items. I always get all three.

Restaurant Name: Buffet At The Mirage: Cravings
Cravings is a decent buffet. I get comps, so the price doesn't concern me. It's not a $3.99 special, though, so if you're looking for one of those, don't come here. They have a decent variety of food. I tend to stick with the Asian foods. Dim Sum lovers will like the shrimp and pot stickers. They have sushi and other favorites, too. Pizza and other fattening foods are abundant as well. The ice cream is really good, too.
Favorite Dish: Can't get enough of the Dim Sum-style shrimp and pot stickers. And the ice cream!

Restaurant Name: Bay Side Buffet at Mandalay Bay
You might start thinking all I do in Vegas is eat at buffets. Not true. I go a lot so these tips are from experiences spread out over time. The Bay Side Buffet is decent. It ranks below the Rio and Mirage buffets, but has a nice view if you're near the windows. The "bay" is the Mandalay Bay's faux bay, but at least it's something. Get some orange juice and make Mimosa's with the endless champagne. Yes, you can drink at all hours here! The food is just so-so, but it's plentiful.
Favorite Dish: For brunch, can't beat a made-to-order omelette. Is that spelled right?

Restaurant Name: Samba Grill in the Mirage
It's not really a buffet, but if you order the Rodizio, you get to eat like a buffet 'cause they keep bringing you various cuts of meat. It's delicious. But, make sure you're hungry and a meat-eater.
Favorite Dish: Sirloin steak, turkey wrapped in bacon, flank steak and the black rice and beans. Meat, meat and more meat!

Forgot the name - in the Mirage: Japanese Teppan (think Benihana)

Restaurant Name: Forgot the name - in the Mirage
Benihana-style cooking where the chef tries to entertain while making your dinner. Good stuff 'cause it's fresh. The surrounding and ambience is typical of a Teppan Japanese restaurant, but you're coming for the FOOD anyway. You can also order sushi and other Japanese dishes.
Favorite Dish: New York Steak with Chicken and fried rice. It's all good.

Restaurant Name: The Round Table Buffet
This basic buffet located in Excalibur is your typical Vegas buffet complete with self-serve refreshments. The food is average. The ambience is like a Souplantation. The best thing about it was the price ($15). Compared to the other restaurants in Excalibur, the Round Table Buffet is cheap.
Favorite Dish: The pork tamales were good. Fried chicken was good. There's a lot of buffet type food, so that's what you're going to get. A culinary experience it's not. But, it fills your belly so you can get to the good stuff - drinking and partying.
