"Heavenly Haarlem" a Haarlem Travel Page by OSpencers

It has been over a year late in adding this page to my profile. Thought that it was time to add a little something because Haarlem is too good to miss. Many people call Haarlem a miniature Amsterdam, but this town has a totally different feel. The buildings and canals look like AMS but the vibe here is totally relaxed! Just stroll the streets to see the town with out all the traffic and bustle of the big city.

While wandering down some random street off the main square, I spotted this dog patiently waiting for her owner to get done shopping. This is one of my favorite photos from our trip. I encountered many scenes like this in Haarlem.

I managed to snap this shot while wandering around outside the square. We also managed to wander into Haarlem’s miniature Red Light District. This area is absolutely nothing like the RLD in AMS. While strolling down a narrow back street when we happened to notice the windows with the characteristic red lights. Since it was early in the A.M. all the curtains were closed and no one was offering their wares at that hour
