Rental House

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon, the usual rental turn day around here. Picked up the keys from the rental office - pleasant staff, easy and efficient operation. Got to the house, took a short inventory and headed off to the only major supermarket in town - the Food Lion (Roar!). There was not a North Carolina license plate to be found in that parking lot. Inside the store, it was what I imagined a grocery would look like when hurricane preparations were underway. Carts piled high with water, toilet paper, massive quantities of hot dogs and buns - I think the beer section had to be restocked every 15 minutes. Back at the house, we finally settled in to an extremely restful and pleasing vacation.

To The Sea!

My husband and I played in the surf a lot. The waves in this area seem to be pretty hard breaking and the water temperature was very warm. And that's coming from a Phoenician, who can't even swin in the pool until the water is up to 86 degrees!

The House

The house we stayed in was beautiful, right on the beach!
