Entering the city of Brugge is the same as traveling in time to some centuries ago... Bruges is called 'the Venice of the North'. This splendid medieval city is one of Belgium's crown jewels. In no other European city the feel and the look of medieval times are so present as here in this city close to the North Sea. Brugge has too many things to see to visit in only one day. The best way to visit Brugge is to spend at least one night there. Later in the evening, when all the tourists have gone, Brugge shows finally all its charm and the silence of other ages. |
