In the first half of the 19th century this building was a Chapel, which later was converted to a casino. In the 1980's the casino closed the doors and the building was acquired by the municipality, which converted it to a Cultural Center. The main facade was saved and restored, maintaining now the same look that it had in the past.

The St. Anthony's Chapel, built during the 17th century, is a rich historic and artistic legacy. Decorated with azulejos (portuguese painted tiles) inside, contains the images St. Anthony, St. Vincent and Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem, dating back from the 18th century.

Originally Chapel of S. Pedro (1446), was enlarged several times since 1658. In the high altar there are paintings with scenes of the life of Saint Peter. The Cross in front of the Church was built in 1782.

It is thought that the first houses of Ericeira were built in the place where this market-cross is found. It has sculptured the dates 1140, 1640 and 1940, respectively the Foundation of the Nationality, the National Restoration and the 800 years of the Foundation of Portugal

Built in 1513, manuelin style, was dismantled in 1863 following the extinction of the municipality of Ericeira. In 1905 the pillory was found and in a singular cerimony was placed again in 1924.

A curious square. A palm tree that gives the name to the square... probably another one because on the wall there is a azulejo that tells something more....
