The city of Pontevedra is located on the mouth of the river Lerez. According to a legend, the city was founded by a troyan heroe called Teucro, one of the figures of the troyan war, that after the fall of Troy arrived to the coast of Pontevedra. The city historical center is one of the best preserved in Galicia. |
