Mindelo, the capital, has a unique way of life. I've been there during carnival and I realized the carnival at Mindelo is one of the most important events in this group of islands.

Interesting photos of this off-the-beaten path location! Great tip on the 'eagle' statue. I was very impressed with the replica statue of Cabral's airplane along the Lisbon waterfront at Belem!!

I had my plane back home just one week before Cesaria Evora was back in Mindelo and gave a concert. So I still have to do with her CDs.
