Villefranche-sur-Mer Travel Guide: 105 reviews and 200 photos
I was lucky to discover this small town. I was going on train from Nice to Monaco, line that goes through Villefranche, and the view from the train made me think it could be interesting. The day after I went there on purpose and discovered that the small town was filled of rare works of Cocteau, Volti and Goetz. A pictoresque mediterranean town that maintained the old charm in it's narrow streets... simply wonderful.
Dating from 1295, Villefranche-sur-Mer is a rich city just 5 km from Nice and 13km from Monaco.

A very nice looking spot! I have a soft spot for citadels myself. Great photos in your Travelogues, too bad I could not give them the rating they deserve!!
