The Trevi fountain, yes its the same one from several movies including "Three Coins in the Fountain", "Roman Holiday", and La Dolce Vita", is a beautiful sight to behold. It is a tourist trap and was very crowded when we were there, but is worth braving the street vendors and crowds to see what is essentially the back end of a church. We went at night but I would love to see it in the daytime and wander around the area. It is not hard to find once you assimilate yourself to Rome and the metro system. don't miss it!

Address: Old Rome near the Spanish Steps
Directions: Follow the metro to the Espagne stop and climb the steps. Trevi is a short walk from the top. I'll add more specific directions when I look at a map of Rome again.

Trevi Fountain: The best fountain

Visit this fountain if you get the chance. It will take your breath away. Avoid the vendors and make sure that you follow the rules for throwing 3 coins over your left shoulder with your back to the fountain in order to return to Rome.
