"IMAGINE" by John Lennon

Silver Pagoda

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum

An Eye Opener

Visiting Phnom Penh's Genocide Museum is definitely an eye-opener. The horrors documented in the museum bears a semblance to the dark days of Martial Law in the Philippines (Sept 21, 1972). To think that this museum, formerly a highschool compound, is the actual place where the torture and the killings happened during the Pol Pot regime.

Outside the museum were two beggars without legs, perhaps blown away by the landmines. Utterly sad and perhaps not your idea of a vacation.

Pros:"quiet markets, cheap silk, friendly people, and glorious palaces"
Cons:"evidences of a painful past will break your heart"
In A Nutshell:"An eye-opener"
