Yosemite, often confused with Yellowstone by many, is an artifact of glaciation that is probably one of the most spectacular places to visit in the world. It's valley can become a bustling mecca for tourists during the summer, yet you can always find somewhere to sit down, relax and enjoy the views. |

Waterfalls galore There are many beautiful and grand waterfalls in Yosemite. They are their grandest in the spring during the snow melt in the mountains above the valley. In late summer and fall, these same waterfalls become mere trickles. When the sun is out, which is almost all the time, the falls will become enhanced by the rainbows in the mist. On hot days, the cool mist is fantastic. |
Nature Throughout the valley floor and in the passes and mountains above it, wildlife is everywhere, all year long. As you can tell by the blossoms here, spring can be an especially beautiful time of year. | | | Dogwood blossoms in spring |
