Lava flows galore

by frank_delargy - last update: Mar 19, 2005

Finally.. I touched the lava

Poking the lava with a stick
I was on a business trip in California, after a week in Scotland & Iceland and rather than fly back home to Boston on Friday, I decided to fly west to Hawaii as I had heard that the lava was flowing on the surface. It was a trip that was well worth it. I burned up some frequent flyer miles and had the time of my life. It was one heck of an overnight trip!
