Ashiya Travel Guide: 2 reviews and 3 photos

ah Those were THE Days ..

this smaLL town between the Larger cities of Osaka & Kobe is weLL known 2 the Japanese as an expensif refuge where the rich of Tokyo has their retreat home .
very weLL so because the geographical location w/ a very close proximity between the sea & mountain, plus a quiet river running thru it, makes this the have-aLL locaLe .
cross over the mountain 2 find the famous hot springs of Arima-Onsen, AND Takarazuka, Japan's own aLL-femaLe broadway show .
and because of the quieter atmosphere ppl.consider Ashiya a part of Kobe(which is NOT because it is a separate City) rather than the bustling Osaka, the 2nd Largest city in Japan .

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:the mountain, river & the sea .. aLL packed into 1
  • Cons:unLess U MUST Liv in the City ..
  • In a nutshell:ULtimate Peace-of-Mind w/ all goodies of modern world available in near-by Osaka
