My plane landed around 4.30am and I booked a place on a bus that drops you off at your hotel.
Discovered my hostel didn't open till 7.30 so the driver dropped my off on The Esplanade where I had breakfast overlooking the harbour watching the sun rise, beautiful start.
Got to my hostel and couldn't get to my bed till 9.30 so all I've done so far is get some food and sleep.
I'm back in Carins now (19.07.05) after a week traveling North and a tiny bit West. Tomorrow I'm going to start going South.
The main things I did in Carins were of course the Barrier Reef, swim in the Lagoon, had a nights work in a restaurant, and met some good people to meet up with again later.
