A very long time ago (22 years this July) my husband Neil & I had our rather delayed honeymoon travelling for 6 weeks through Europe, the UK and Singapore. We were planning to fit a lot into our schedule. Leaving Australia with absolutely no fixed plans except for the last 2 nights in Singapore and copy of Frommer's Europe on $25 a day. Oh to be 23 years old again hey! One magical day was spent touring Wales. The 4th of July in fact, supposedly a summer's day but from the top of Mt Snowdon the fog condenses onto your clothing soaking you through to your skin. Needless to say 3 days later I fell ill with a shocking cold, but the memories of that most picturesque part of England will last a lifetime.

We caught a steam train that takes you to the top of Mount Snowdon . It took an hour either way but it sure beat walking.
