"Muscat Memoirs" Ali&Steve's Profile
Hello Again,
Owing to it being a cloudy weekend (they happen), we've got some time at last to update these pages as they've been languishing since October 2004.
We haven't been silent on VT - in fact our hard man soft lady routine is splattered all over the Dubai, Maldives, and Oman forums plus some others that Ali gets caught up with - it's just that we are still readjusting to life here in Muscat. If you consider Dubai as being London then Muscat is Frinton-on-Sea (have a go at looking it up). It's certainly much more of a struggle for culinary and entertainment choice than Dubai although the diving is fathoms better and we get to interact much more with the local populace. It's more "genuine" than Dubai.
Feel free to browse through our pics and info - we won't make Conde Nast magazines - but something may be of use; and, if you need more info, don't hesitate to e-mail (if we don't reply too quickly it's because electrons, like most things in Muscat, are in a different space time continuum here when compared to anywhere else, however, we will get round to it).
If you are coming to Muscat, give us a wave from your plane window on the final landing approach (altitude around 250 metres) - we promise not to get upset about the noise!
Wherever you are going - travel safely and enjoy.

I've enjoyed reading your forum comments about visiting Oman. We're heading there in early March for about 10 days and hope to get in some good snorkeling... Now I'll have to read the rest of your pages on Oman! w

Hi Ali and Steve! Thank you for your reply to our Dubai-forum post. It's sounds like you had lots of fun in Dubai - we'll take that as an inspiration! Question from Eve to Ali: Is there a dress-code at Wild Wadi? What are women wearing? :-) Eve and Ash
