HELLO!

by soo-zee - last update: Sep 20, 2004

something about myself

Yungang Caves - China
Well, it's the first time in my life I have to say something about myself in English and on line! I'm afraid I won't do anything good, but be patient and I'll improve :)
My bedroom in the Andaman - India
For the time being...
I like travelling, of course ;) and I like travelling alone. I can't say exactly why I prefer being on my own... maybe because it's easier to meet people and you are free to decide when and where to go and to stay....
There is a lot of friendly people around the world and you're never alone if you don't want to.
Most of all I like the feeling of complete freedom I have when I'm travelling.

At work they won't allow me to take long vacations :(((( but usually I can manage 2-3 weeks holydays twice or three times every year.
I know that a three-weeks holiday in India or in China is not enough, but it's always better then nothing.... It means that I'll have to go back to China some more times :)
driving a van in California
Up to now 2004 has been the best year (for my travels I mean): I went to Andaman (Jan), to California (March), to China (June). I'll leave to St Petersbourg at the beginning of Sept and I'm planning a trip to Ethiopia (that's the reason I bumped on this site) next Nov!!!!!
:)))))
driving a camel in Mongolia
I think I'm lucky: I really enjoy travelling and I can afford it. I met many people who would like to travel but don't have money enough and people who could travel but aren't interested in it.
and hitchiking in Hermitage :)
Sometimes travelling with the right fellows (I was with my daughter) makes having a lot of fun possible even in Hermitage!
Planning my next trip ;)
Well guys.... I hope I did a good job at introducing myself.
I'll try to do something with my travel pages, but since I'm not very good at it if you need some information about where I've been or where I live please e-mail me!

I recognize the feeling of luck when it comes to travel, enjoying it and being able to afford it. I also met many poor people who tell me they wish they could do what I do, it breaks my heart.
