Sawadeeka!

What is it about bangkok that makes me wanna visit it again, year after year? The food, the service, warm hospitality and of course, it's my shopping paradise!

I have visited bangkok four times and i am looking forward to my trip again next year! =)

However a word of advise if you are first-timer in bangkok, be careful of ppl who approach you and tell you that the temple or whatever building you are looking at, is closed for the day. Ignore the person and walk away. They will usually tell you that today is the king's or Buddha's birthday and that you must go visit the LUCKY BUDDHA.

These are scams and these ppl usually wants to get you to visit jewellery shop. It's a waste of your time.

Or if you get into a taxi, and the driver tell you that he's going to get some gas vouchers, firmly tell him no or get off the car quickly. Yes, he's also one of those who will be driving you to some jewellery shops.

BUT, dun let these accounts scare you. You just have to be careful. Thai ppl are usually very warm and nice.

This is the picture which i took from Baiyoke Sky Hotel, it is located in Pratunam area and is Bangkok's tallest hote. I was there for their famous buffet dinner! Excellent! The food was sumptous and generous and the view was simple awesome, especially when bangkok turns dark and the neo lights came on. Lovely! i

It only cost 410 Baht per pax for this lovely evening. A must-go buffet and view if you are there.
The Moh Eng I Bought from Chatuchak

Shopping!

Chatuchak is my favourite market in the world, It's big and cheap. A lot of pple seldom talks about the food there, but i would say the thai food there is cheap and value for money!

Take the BTS train all the way to MOCHI. You will not miss the market, just follow the crowd and voila you are in Chatuchak Market!

The market is very big and if you travelling with frens, if's better to get hold of a map and arrange your shopping route or a specific place to meet. There are a few entrances and exit, so better to get a map for this market

My husband and i carried 2 Moh Eng back from this market! It look very nice sitting on living room platform. It cost me about 700 BAHT each, i can't find it in singapore and boy, was i estactic when i spotted it in Chatuchak, i couldn;t find it anywhere else in bangkok, hmmm....funny right?

Ayuttaya

Ayuttaya is 76 kilometers north of Bangkok and boasts magnificent historical ruins.

We took a cruise from Chao Praya River to Ayuttaya. It took about 3 hrs hours and it was a very leisure and relaxing cruise. We had a good view of the Thai people who lived by the river and we noticed the changes in scenery as we slowly cruise out of bangkok.

Ayuttaya is beautiful. It's a place of historical value and beauty. It was the old Capital of Siam and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

We visited the Bang Pa In Palace and some historical ruins. The ruins spoke volume of the splendour of this once great city of Thailand. It sadden me to know that a lot of ancient monuments and Buddha Statues were destroyed during trouble times and wars.
