"A Charming City" San Sebastián by twood1
San Sebastián Travel Guide: 5 reviews and 14 photos
Small, quaint, and delicious, San Sebastian is a city that nobody who goes to spain can miss. The town's narrow, winding, cobblestone streets lend it its old city charm that just begs for you to lose yourself in. Whether you're a beach bum or a partier, this city has the best of both worlds. But the best thing to do here is to go out tapas hopping at night. San Sebastian has far and away the best tapas in the world. It's a stop that the gastronomically inclined can't afford to skip!
The first time I came to this city, I had tons of fun. The second time I visited, I fell in love with it.
When I was traveling through Spain with my best friend, we kept hearing from other backpackers that we couldn't miss a trip to San Sebastian. So we listened, and we weren't at all disappointed. Even though it rained for most of the time we were there, we loved the look and feel of this small beach town. That's because this city has far more to offer than just a nice beach. It's worth visiting for the people, the architecture, and most of all, the food. If you go to San Sebastian, make sure to spend at least one night there to go tapas hopping. I guarantee you that you'll never find better tapas in any other city in Spain.
During the day, lay out on the beach or just take your time strolling through the streets of the city. Put together a good picnic basket and climb up to the top of Monte Urgull -- the park up top is beautiful and the view breathtaking.
This city is for those who like to relax during the day, and have fun at night. So wake up, sit outside a cafe, take a sip of your coffee, and get ready for a great stay.
- Pros:Beautiful, relaxing, delicious.
- Cons:It may be a little rainy.
- In a nutshell:Just go there.
