Traveling is not something you do....

Traveling is a passion. And sharing my stories with others is as exciting as taking the trip itself. As I get older, I find that visiting new cities, learning new customs, trying new foods is what life is all about. To live is to eat Ceviche and drink Cerveza Negra in an oceanside restaurant in Miraflores, Peru; to eat Schnitzel and Bratkartoflen and drink a Pils in a biergarten in Frankfurt, Germany; or to eat a Maine lobster and drink wine in Kennebunkport, Maine. But whereever you go, whatever you do, always take the road less traveled, because for me, that has made all the difference in my life.

Finding a travel theme...

When I travel, I often find themes in my photography. Flowers that amaze me. Doors that are incredible to look at. Signs in foreigh languages that convey the message regardless of the language barrier. Portraits of the people I"m traveling with. Architecture. Landscapes. Regardless of the theme, the photography and the memories I capture with those pictures are what sustain me from one city to the next, as I work my way across the US, and around the world, exploring the different places this lovely globe has to offer.

Travel for Pleasure or for Gain?

I often have to travel for work. Which some how has never made me tired of traveling in general. I have a thirst for learning about new places, and a desire to meet the people that live in those places. The local customs, the local dialect, be it in Bavaria or Atlanta, is as exciting in my own country as it is in another country. I think when I travel its always for pleasure, even though sometimes I'm not footing the bill and its supposed to be "business."
