If you love museums, architecture and friendly folk then you'll enjoy a trip to Stockholm. This city is known for thriving business and attracts thousands of tourists every year. It can be expensive but is worthwhile for the history buff.
There are canals and bridges everywhere and a fantastic pedestrian district. It has everything a metropolitan hub could offer without the litter and crime that sometimes comes with it. |
| | Military Stop by the royal palace and check out the changing of the guard. These troops do a great job in their drill and ceremony. These soldiers are very professional and disciplined. Their military ordinance unit is among the best in the world and supported the NATO mission in Bosnia, which had millions of unmarked land mines throughout. Sweden has quite a military history going back to the days of Vikings and plenty of museums to educate those who want to know more. |
| | Must See Take some time to visit the Ice Bar. Everything in here is made of ice, including much of the furniture. The vodka is perfect served in this environment. Make a reservation as the wait could be long otherwise. This is a really unique experience. |
