Powerscourt Gardens

Faoi mise...

I'm stuck in an office 9-5pm so when I get a chance to skip out of the country for a while, I grab it. It's usually me doing all the organising and internet searching, and my friends are quite happy with that arrangement...it's only when you organise trips abroad that you have a new found respect for people who do this for a living, all day everyday. The stress! But it's worth it.

2006

This year I've had 3 holidays so far - a 4 day trip to Edinburgh, a 5 day trip to Budapest, and a 2 day trip to Alton Towers in the UK. I've flights booked for Vienna but I still have to sort out accommodation. This is one holiday I NEED!!!

2005

Busy year for travel...I was in London in February for a concert, the group holiday was in May to Dubrovnik, Croatia, the sun/historical holiday was to Crete in July, and finally the break away/touristy holiday was to Madrid, Spain in November. Lots of gorgeous photos and weary legs. The most challenging activity was the 16km trek along Samaria Gorge in Crete...it was 35? IN THE SHADE!

2004

March: Belgium - 4 cities, lots of chocolate, and a bit of rain later...we flew into Charleroi and got the train to Antwerp. We did a day trip to Ghent, and spent a night in Brugge before spending our last night in Brussels. My favourite place was Ghent...incredibly scenic and very photogenic.

October: Italy - Rome to be precise. Fantastic city, cultural overload, way too much to do and not nearly enough time. We saw all the big things - Pantheon, Colosseum, Forums, catacombs, Ostia Antica, Trevi Fountain...and we did a day trip to Pompeii. Amazing holiday.

2003

Oslo, Norway and Prague, Czech Republic were the holiday destinations!

2001

August/September: Munich, Germany and Pflach, Austria were the destinations for our trip. We stayed in Pflach and travelled to F?ssen and then onto Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles. The final two days were spent in Munich during the World Cup qualifier where England beat Germany 5-1. I've never seen so many riot police in my life. The street our hotel was on was Schillerstrasse, which is where there's a football pub, and it was cordoned off when we got back from our sight-seeing because of clashes between the Polizei and English hooligans.

1998

Majorca - family holiday!
