Getting to Taormina | Isola Bella from Taormina |
Taormina is a small town located on the east coast of Sicily, about 60 km north of Catania which is home to one of the international airports on the island. The drive from Catania airport by taxi costs 90 Euros (May 2008) and is mostly on a dual carriageway with some nice views of Mount Etna. The last few kilometres are on narrow roads which wind their way up the mountain to Taormina and provide some great views of the coast. One of the nicest views is of Isola Bella. |
