Franschhoek is a town with a French heritage (the name means “French Corner”) and was founded by the Huguenots. It is now regarded by many to be one of the best places for food and wine anywhere and from my experience I would not argue against that. Add in the stunning scenery and you have a great place to relax and, possibly, over indulge. It is not very far from Cape Town, indeed you can easily do a day trip either with a hire care or as part of a guided tour. |
