Enniscorty the rebel town

Most people just pass trough Enniscorthy on the way from Rosslare or Wexford to Dublin. Its a shame that most dont stop to look around. Enniscorthy is historically very important in Irish history. The 1798 rebellion against the British took place on Vinegar Hill which looms over the town. For more details on thsi please visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Vinegar_Hill

Enniscorthy an the people there are some of the best people you could ever meet. The town itself if on the banks of the river slaney and it built on a very large hill. The castle in Enniscorthty is wort a visit. Also do go for a pint in the town there is a good pub called shanagans where there is always a good time to be had.
