Looking for the Desert Flowers In spite of all assurances of my friends it was unseasonably wet and cold and it seemed our hope of seeing the desert flowers in Anza-Borrego would be dashed. But it was an enjoyable trip and the excellent Visitor Centre in the Desert Park showed a great film not only of the beautiful flowers (which appeared 5 days after our visit!) but also a fascinating film of the animals that inhabit the desert. Well worth a visit and compensation for missing the flowers. As always on all our US travels Visitor Centre Staff were most helpful and treatd us like friends. |
| | The biggest bunny rabbit in the world? These creatures really startled us even though they looked like overgrown bunnies which is what they turned out to be. |
Badlands There was something wild and mysterious about this landscape that made it possible to imagine bad things happening there in spite of its intrinsic natural beauty. | | |
