Rhinau - a small village on the border made a perfect location for our visit to Alsace, giving us the best of two countries - with only a free, five minute fery ride between them.
From this village we were able to visit all the towns on the "Alsace Wine Route", Castles and many other Alsatian towns and villages - then drive on to the ferry to visit the Black Forest and its charming villages and Freiburg.
A perfect location for a very interesting holiday.
