This is a company mining town in the Pilbra. It is close to other mining towns and the Karajini Naptional Park. Apart from work if you are lucky enough to gte it here, there's very limited tourism activities, you must be very open minded.

As this is a hot desert environment, outdoor activities are best done soon after sun rise, so you are back at the hotel by lunch and can relax in the pool or drink to oblivion at one of the three drinking establishments.

Keep an eye on the weather during or near the wet season as it will flood, many places of interest are accessable only in the dry season unless you have a helicopter! Remember to let someone know when you'll be back as there is hardly any traffic in this remote place.

The green & wet places are remarkably colourful as you get use to the red of the desert. The best places to visit are the water falls at the gorges on the Karajini National Park, or where creeks cascade from the table land plateau to the coastal plains.

Keep an ear out for the eerie dingo howl.
