A comfortable stay (although paid by my company) New World Hotel was not disappointing at all. It was adequately equipped . Service was excellent - to the extent that when I wanted a change of towels at 10pm, the housekeeping guy came with a smile and promptly too. Adequate number of tv channels for you to catch up with the world out there. This is hotel is ideal for the first time traveler and the business traveler.
Unique Qualities: Location: Located in the middle of the city. For the shopper - About 800metres away from %L[http://members.virtualtourist. com/m/tp/1676d4/ Ben Thanh Market %L*. Its also a short distance by Taxi to the Post Office or Notre Dame . Cost about US$1 For the Gambler in you- there is International gambling spot almost next to the hotel. Walking time from Hotel to this place is less than 5 mins. For the tourist - Its an ideal location going to Chu Chi (beat the army of bicycles) and to the other districts.
Character: Pool, Sports Club, gym a flood-lit tennis court, steam bath, sauna and massage rooms. Comforts of home. and nice friendly staff
Food: The hotel breakfast has a good enough spread to fill you up and nice view of the park. If you want another choice of meals - you can try the Pho 2000 which is on the way to Ben Thanh Market .
