The Hotel is located in the Gangnam-gu province and facing one of the main roads ~ Teheran-no. While it is in the heart of the Central Business District, we were surprise what it had to offer:
Rooms If you get a room at the higher floors, you may have a chance to see the Han River. The room we had was nice and cozy but the view of the area was buildings only! Ihave to say the amenities and the facilities are first class (considering the price of a room ~ luckily we were on a tour group, we got a reasonable discount)
Cafe Elysee We had a chance to experience a diverse cuisine from Korean (of course), Japanese with Western. But it was for breakfast only....
Service with a smile in the evening, there is a pleasant looking staff attending to your every need (if the reception is busy!)
Unique Qualities: LocationWe had the convenience of two 24 hour stores of 7 Eleven and Family mart adjacent to the hotel. There are two starbucks 5 minutes in between each other (one opens until 11). No worries running out of "snacks"
If you are into the "mysterious" nightlife, we happen to bump into some "dodgy" bars and dimly lighted dining restaurants which is located around the corner of Teheran-no and Gangnamdaero road, close to Renaissance. We passed a place called Gukgiwon. Sorry can't tell you much about it coz we didn't go in.
If you are into the party scene, Renaissance is only a taxi ride away (about 10 mins) to the Gangnam area (where Coex mall is) where you have a choice of the Hard Rock Cafe or some interesting nightclubs like Seduce (located at Central City undergraound cafe). The name says it all. SubwayFive minute walk to the Yeoksam station. Although I was told that the Seoleung station was also 5 mins away, it look really far on the map. Going by the Green line and swapping on the orange line, you can hit myeong-dong in 25mins. Swapping on the blue line, Dongdaemun. Convenient.
