Seoul ...

The City at night ~ Beautiful and peaceful
The first thing that came into my mind was the 38 parallel. The war which tore the country apart. I didn't get the chance to visit the DMZ but the sights itself will keep you busy. Seoul is a majestic and beautiful country. "Clean" thats what comes into my mind. Really!
The palace ~ a must when you are in Seoul
Visiting Seoul itself brings you to the mini- America (when in Itaewon).
However, the cultural South Korea ~ the palaces which are beautiful and has a lot of history to tell (be it the life and death of a King ), shows the different side of South Korea. You should not miss Gyeongbokgung Palace
There is so much to see and you will definitely need more that a week to see the best of Seoul .
The war that broke the peace
The Korean War still has an impact to both Koreas. Thats why the War Memorial is to remind the people of the hurt and suffering of the Korea(n) War (These reminders also includes past wars).

The unification of both the north and south is the expectation of the older Korean generation. That is what they are looking forward too. We hope that it will happen soon and that familiese who have been apart for so many years, will be able to unite again.
