My Sedona Page

Sedona is a four-seasons playground for everyone - for history, geology, archaeology, art and sports buffs, and especially for curious, outdoor enthusiasts who love spectacular scenery. For couples, Sedona has become well-known as a premier wedding destination and for those seeking personal enrichment, Sedona's world-wide reputation as a spiritual mecca and global power spot has drawn some of the most amazing healers, intuitives, artists and spiritual guides now on the planet.

Sedona is situated in a unique geological area that has mesmerized tourists for decades. Indeed, this picturesque city is surrounded by beloved red-rock monoliths named Coffeepot, Cathedral and Bell even Snoopy because their massive shapes resemble these distinctive objects. Also, the site of this memorable city marks the mouth of unbelievably beautiful Oak Creek Canyon, a breathtaking chasm that even today, is wildly wonderful.

Sedona is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been to. There are so many things to do and see. People believe in “Vortexes” and there are a lot of palm reading, tarot reading and so forth. But don’t worry, if you are not into that, it is not the only thing that you will see. There are many angles that you can see Sedona and everyone you go to will not look the same. There are many hiking trails and small “mountains” to climb. If you don’t want to hike or climb, there are many tours, or you can just drive yourself. There is a “Pink Jeep Tour”, air balloon tours, helicopter tours and much more. The first thing that you want to do when you get there is go to the Visitor Information Office. You can’t miss it, a lot of signs. There you will get a map, and other literature. You can ask the people at the front desk where you should go and ask many questions. You do not want to miss anything while you are here. Have fun!

Vortexes

For those who believe in the vortexes, the spiritual meccas there are many Metaphysical & Spiritual Services including:
Classes / Instruction
Retail
Retreats
Counseling / Therapy
Card Reading / Clairvoyants
Energy Healing / Reiki
Psychics / Intuitives
New Age Centers / Information
Meditation / Spiritual Awakening
Massage / Body Work

Even if you don't believe in powers and "Vortexes", many people do and it makes Sedona even more beautiful. On trails and other places, you will see what some people have done to make it more interesting and more beautiful. You can join in, or just gaze. You can go off the trails, hike over rivers, fish, or sit down and gaze at the beauty. There are many restaurants and shops here. Many of the restaurants offer sitting overlooking Sedona. You can get a seat outside, or against the window. There are many types of restaurants from Mexican to Japanese. Again, all these restaurants and more are at the Visitors Center. Have fun and enjoy!

Trails

There are many trails in Sedona. Again, for the most part, at the beginning of the trails, it will tell you how long the trail is, how much feet you will be ascending, and how difficult the trail is. There are many, many trails to do, and if you don’t want to get out and hike, you can always drive. You can drive to the loop, start at the lower and finish off at the upper, go to the Airport lookout and more. If that is your intention, make sure you tell that to the front desk of the Visitors Center and they will tell you exactly where to go to get the most out of your trip. Here, you can spend up to a day or a weekend and still not get bored. There are houses that are built here, very nice and probably cost a fortune. There are resorts that will pamper you, and hotels that are really nice. There are many Native American Reservations, and you can even get a tour from them. Either hiking, or horse back riding. There are even tours that will show you all the “vortexes” in Sedona and explain everyone. There are 4 of them. I loved Sedona and I am sure you will too!
