South Africa

My home

South African flag
I was born in Mowbray, Cape Town, South Africa, funny enough right next door to a mental hospital so I'm told.
My family moved around South Africa quite a lot and I never really settled anywhere, so I can't really say I had home as such, but Cape Town is the place I remember most.

I left when I was 10, and I would love to go back to live and work, but can't as work seems to be hard to come by and the cost of living seems to be quite high(if you're earning Rands)

Home is where the heart is, and for me South Africa will always be my home, even though I have spent over half my life away from it.

I have been to jo'burg, Durban, Swaziland, Kruger park, Sabie. Even travelled across South Africa from Durban to Cape Town in a Land Rover, hit a few sand storms which needless to say kinda damaged the land rover.

I the amount of times I have tried to convince the English that there are white South Africans, they just can't seem to grasp it, of course now that UK is flooded with South Africans I think they seem to believe me now.
Table mountain

Table mountain

If people think of South Africa, what is the first thing they would associate with it? Africans? Huts? No, if anyone has a brain it's got to be Table Mountain, so called because of it's flat "table" like surface. Resting just above Table bay and near Cape Town itself. Tourists come from all over to see this site, some even climb it, god knows why when there's a perfectly good cable car.

Kruger National park

How many times in your life do you get to see animals in their habitat? For me I can count twice, and I lived in South Africa, this is a must see place, you can see more pictures on my albums page.

Or try these links........

Cape Town
Johannesburg
Durban
Gauteng
Mpumalanga
oh my god! what kind of horse is that?
