Espana

Coast to coast

Spanish flag
Spain, a mix of both old and new. Spain is pretty much like other countries in regards to the countryside, cities, towns and the coast, but what makes Spain truley different is the people and the atmosphere, nothing is quite like it.

Conquered by the muslims, saved by the christians, it has a real diversity about it, which is still possible to see today. The country towns are small peaceful rural areas as you would expext, the cities are crowded with old and new sites, bustling with street performers and the well known "lucky, lucky men" (street traders,ie. out of a bag). These cities are a must see, cafe's, bars, nightclubs, late night shopping, historical sites, all this within easy walking distance.
people I worked with

Cataluna

Most counties or states have their own dialect or way of speaking, the same applies to Cataluna, Barcelona being it's capital city.

The language is a mix of both spanish and french (the province borders France) they also speak Spanish of course.

I lived and worked there for about 6 months as a holiday rep for an english holiday company in a very touristy area, but still lovely (L'Estartit).

The province has it's own flag and once was independant from Spain, but thats not the case now. The terrorist group ETA is from this area and they are supposedly fighting for the independence of the province.
