As strange as it might seem the Cornish have their own flag and seem to run independant from the rest of U.K.
Of course they have all the laws the rest of the country does, but life is a little diffirent down there. It's not all "ooh aarh" in fact it's quite a holiday destination.
Enjoying the summer weather longer than most of the U.K. do and seeming a lot more relaxed. Cornwall is very much "do it in your own time" kind of place, there is no hurry for anything.
Expect a Cornish mile to be longer than your average mile, it seems everytime you see a sign saying 2 miles to where ever, you seem to take 3 times longer than you would normally, why? I still havn't figured it out, but I'm guessing the long and winding roads have a part to play, as well as those tractors.
A lot of the country roads are tiny, only one car fits in it, so if you want to cross, well, pull into the bushes is a must.
Some things are best left unsaid, this picture was taken on the way to Tintagel and I thought it would be a nice idea if my parents were in this photo as I thought the view was lovely, one mistake I shall never repeat.
I don't know why he is smiling like that, almost evil.
- Pros:People, scenery, relaxed, peaceful (most of the time)
- Cons:too many tourists during summer
- In a nutshell:Home of the Cornish pasty (the real ones)

Interesting viewpoints! (Give your dad a break) Loved the llighting in your Tintagel photo.
The last dinner I had out with my aunt before she died was at Gwealdues Hotel, great meal. The road distances probably seem wrong because the bloody roads are so twisty! I think you drive a mile and have only gone 250 metres as the crow flies!
Congratulations on this very interesting page on Cornwall! Great information. Keep up the good work!
King Arthur's Castle & a variety of delicious Cornish pasties. Sounds like a perfect combination!
God my mouth is watering now having seen your cornish pasty picture! My mum makes a mean cornish pasty...how I wish I was at home now to eat one of them!!
Well written set of pages. Great picture of Tintagel and you're spot on with the Cornish Pasties - best tasted in Cornwall from a good bakers, they don't export well!!
